The government will announce its policy for the prime minister’s low-cost housing scheme on October 10.

A meeting of a task force on housing schemes was chaired by PM Imran Khan on Friday.

The government has decided to provide houses to the people on easy instalments. It will build 2.5 million houses in the first phase, and another 2.5 million in the second phase.

It is the government’s top priority to provide low-cost houses to the people, the premier said. These schemes will create job opportunities for the people, Khan remarked.

The prime minister said the country will have to seek foreign investment to complete the projects.

“We will deliver on the promises we made to the nation at any cost,” Khan added.
