Truecaller app has launched a chat feature for its Android and iOS users.

Truecaller is an anti-spam app that shows the name of the caller, and allows users to ignore unwanted calls. It has recently launched its own chat messaging option which operates similarly to Apple’s iMessage. Messages sent to users will appear in the app while non-app users will receive it as SMS.

The company plans to include AI and machine learning in the future. The messaging feature is being introduced on a global level.

It currently has 100 million users and hopes to expand its user base.
